Approval
Every company, organisation or group must get the permission of the Liverpool Culture Company to use any form of the new Liverpool Capital of Culture brand.
The approval process will be straightforward and easy to follow.
1. Licence to Use the Brand: Every company, organisation or group must get the permission of the Liverpool Culture Company to use the brand.
For a 'Licence to Use the Brand' fill in the Brand Application Form or contact the Liverpool Culture Company via e-mail or call 0151 233 4399 listed below to obtain one. This must be completed and returned to the Liverpool Culture Company for approval. If the application is approved, two unsigned Brand Use Licences will be mailed back to the applicant. The applicant is required to sign both copies and return to the Liverpool Culture Company. One copy of the licence with the signature of the authorised member of the Liverpool Culture Company will then be returned to the applicant. All applicants must wait for the official approval before using the brand.
For Sponsors, their contracts will automatically include a licence to use the brand.
2. Brand Use Guidelines: The Brand Use Guidelines will be mailed with every approved licence to use the brand and each approved organisation will need to review the Brand Use Guidelines to understand how the brand can and should be used. This will also provide the colour palette references and other graphic instructions which graphic designers and other creative personnel will find invaluable.
3. Brand Use Approval: Every specific use of the brand must also be approved (eg on letterheads, posters, advertisements). The Brand Use Approval Form will be part of the Brand Guidelines that are sent accompanying each approved Brand Use Licence. A Brand Use Approval Form should accompany every brand use to be approved and an organisation must allow 10 business days for approval.
