No company or organisation can use the brand without approval from the Liverpool Culture Company. Breaches of this will face prosecution.

There will be three distinct types of organisations that will be able to use the brand: Official Partners 08 logo

1. Commercial Sponsors

These will be companies/organisations that have a commercial relationship with the Liverpool Culture Company. Their agreement will detail the access they will have to the brand and the approval process. For more information visit the Sponsors section of this website.

2. Non-Commercial Organisations/Groups (08 Brand Use)

Organisations or groups which are funded by the Liverpool Culture Company and Liverpool City Council, or with Non-Commercial 08 logowhom we collaborate on cultural programming can use this Brand.  This use will require a specific licence to use the 08 Brand granted by the Liverpool Culture Company. Examples of these organisations include:

  • Government Agencies (eg NWDA, DCMS, VisitBritain)
  • Public Agencies (eg Police, Fire, Churches, Hospitals, Schools) 
  • Cultural Partners (eg Tate Liverpool, NML, FACT, Brouhaha, Greenhouse, Faith Council) 
  • Creative Community Partners (eg. NHS, English Heritage) 
                      

3. Non-Commercial Organisations/Groups (Community Brand Use)

Organisations or groups that are not funded by the Liverpool Culture Company/Liverpool City Council nor collaborateNon -Commercial Community 08 logo on programming can use a derivative version of the brand.  Groups must still apply to use this 'Community Group' brand and must gain approval from the Liverpool Culture Company.

A variety of products ranging from rugby shirts, t-shirts, hats and coffee mugs are available for sale across Liverpool to individuals and this is detailed in the 08 Shop section of the website.

However, individuals can also become Sponsors and this is further outlined in the Sponsors section of the website.
