Creative Sport

The Creative Sports programme focuses on using culture to increase participation and widen access to Sport and Physical Activity.  To date over 6,000 young people have been engaged across two community games projects:  Liverpool Community Games - The project increases participation via a network of ongoing community based workshops/ sessions across the five neighbourhoods of Liverpool.

All groups are encouraged to attend a citywide mass participatory event that offers grass roots competition and a complimentary range of taster activities.

Merseyside Community Youth Games - This project has similar aims as the Liverpool project with a wider focus on engagement with the five boroughs that surround Liverpool. Each borough delivers their own local programme of activity working towards the Merseyside mass participatory event.

Disability Sports Festival

The project directly focuses on increasing participation by disabled people their family or carers. A range of taster sessions and grass roots competition is offered across multiple venues with pathways created to the sports club network on offer at the Greenbank Sports Academy.  To date over 2,500 participants have engaged with programme.
